[miningmx.com] – ROBERT Mugabe, Zimbabwe president, condemned United Nations sanctions against Russia for its activitites in Ukraine.
In a report by Bloomberg News, Mugabe is quoted as saying: “They are illegal sanctions. So you have a lawless part of our international community seeking to dominate the rest of the world and we say no.’
Mugabe was commenting after meeting Russia’s foreign minister Sergie Lavrov who was in the country to oversee commitment to building a $3bn platinum mine.
“These are the evil men of our world. Those who go and act in defiance of international law, sanctions that were never approved by the UN,’ said Mugabe.
