[miningmx.com] – THE Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (AMCU) has won recognition at Sibanye Gold’s Beatrix mine, said BDLive.
“They now have met the minimum recognition threshold requirement of 40% in categories four to eight,” Sibanye Gold spokeswoman Thabisile Phumo told the online publication.
ANCU now meets the recognition requirement in lower categories of mineworkers, with union membership now standing at 2,623 of about 6,400 employees at Beatrix mine in the Free State, said BDLive.
