[miningmx.com] – THE South African government would announce in February the assets it intended to sell in order to subsidise Eskom, said BDLive.
Speaking in Parliament, deputy finance minister, Mcebisi Jonas, said the assets identified for sale were being assessed and would be those that “are adding no value to what we are doing in terms of the broader government policy programme”.
“Hopefully by . February we will have a report on the table to announce what the comprehensive measures around state-owned enterprises are, and the interventions the government wants to make to put them on a different footing,” he said.
