Zambia eases VAT refund procedure

[miningmx.com] – ZAMBIA has eased regulations allowing mining firms in the country an improved passage to earning tax refunds and said it would discuss plans for higher royalties, said Bloomberg News.

The newswire said the initiatives were part of newly elected president Edgar Lungu’s pledge that he wouldn’t “allow a single mining job” to be lost.
