CRG ends talks with two of four suitors

[miningmx.com] – CENTRAL Rand Gold (CRG) had terminated discussions with two Chinese companies interested in bidding for the company, and had extended the deadlines for submission of bids from two others.

“We thank both Beijing Ankong Investment and Shengbang Jiabo (Beijing) Consulting Company for their engagement however, the company has decided not to continue discussions with Ankong and Shengbang at this time,” it said in a statement.

Huili Resources and Hiria Group Company had been given until July 15 to submit offers for the firm after failing to meet the June 12 deadline.

“The board of directors believe it is in the best interests of shareholders to accommodate this request given the advanced nature of commercial negotiations with both Huili and Hiria,” it said.
