Zuma says SA facing struggle to grow

[miningmx.com] – SOUTH Africa faced a “serious struggle” in cutting unemployment and boosting economic growth, said Bloomberg News citing comments of the country’s president, Jacob Zuma.
“You can’t say when the economy is not growing that your original plans will be implemented as they were,” Zuma told Bloomberg News. “There will be an impact, which will mean that in terms of how we meet them, it is going to be a serious struggle,” he said.
South Africa’s unemployment rate rose to 25.5% in the third quarter from 25.1% in the previous three months, the statistics agency said Tuesday.
