[miningmx.com] – RUSSIAN gas producer, Gazprom, has given South African firm Anglo African Capital sole distribution rights for underground coal gasification technology which it will use for a new project, said Bloomberg News.
Gazprom “spends large amounts of money on research and development of the technology and is a world leader in underground-coal gasification,” Anglo African told the newswire service.
Anglo African Capital is undertaking a pre-feasibility study for the Springbok Flats coal project in South Africa’s northern Limpopo province, Anglo African said in an e-mail to Bloomberg News.
