Zim miners to resist 42% power cost hike

[miningmx.com] – ZIMBABWE’S Chamber of Mines has resisted a proposed 42% increase in electricity tariffs by Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC), said Reuters citing the organisation.

“At this stage the economy of Zimbabwe cannot have cost increases in any of the inputs. We strongly oppose the application for tariff increase by ZETDC,” the statement said.
