Jubilee expects headline earnings to rise 35pct

[miningmx.com] — MINING exploration and development company Jubilee Platinum, which is listed on London’s AIM and the JSE, on Tuesday advised that it expected its full year headline earnings per share to be between 15% and 35% higher.

The company said it was expecting an increase in earnings per share of between 50% and 70% for the financial year ended 30 June 2010 compared to that of the previous comparative period.

Jubilee last year reported the narrowing of its full year headline loss to 0.13 pence from 3.37 pence in 2008.

The company posted a loss of £4.1m for the year to end June 2009, which is virtually unchanged from the loss posted a year before, but the loss per ordinary share increased to 3.5 pence in the current year from 3.45 pence a year back.

Jubilee’s year-end results announcement is expected to be published on or about September 30.
