Ramontja not a director of PAMDC

[miningmx.com] – THIBEDI Ramontja resigned as a director of the state-owned Pan African Mineral Development Company (PAMDC) in 2011 when he was appointed director-general of the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR).

Miningmx, citing an article in the Business Times, said Ramontja was still a director of PAMDC which is involved in a mineral rights tussle with Australia’s Aquila Resources.

“He resigned as director when he was appointed DG of the Department in 2011, and he was then replaced by Mr Sizwe Madondo, CEO of African Exploration Mining and Finance Corporation (AEMFC),” said Ayanda Shezi, a spokesperson for the DMR.
