Ramaphosa to lead NDP as deputy president

[miningmx.com] – ANC deputy president, Cyril Ramaphosa, will take over management of South Africa’s economy following national elections on May 7, said Bloomberg News citing people familiar with the plans of the ruling party.

Ramaphosa will be appointed South Africa’s deputy president and be put in charge of implementing the National Development Plan which aims to create 11 million jobs by 2030, said Bloomberg News.

Rampahosa left politics some 16 years ago to build Shanduka Group, a business that has a net asset value of R8.8bn, said Bloomberg News.
