
[miningmx.com] – SOUTH Africa’s attractiveness as a mining investment destination has improved marginally, said BDLive which cited a survey published this month by Canada’s Fraser Institute.
The survey shows countries most likely to attract mining investment with South Africa achieving an overall policy attractiveness score of 39.8 out of 100 last year, from 35 in the 2012-13 survey, BDLive said.
The top-ranked country in the world is Sweden, with a score of 95.2. South Africa’s position is close to Brazil’s, which at 39.1 is 65th out of 112, said BDLive.
