[miningmx.com] – PLATINUM mining companies operating in Zimbabwe, including the local unit of Anglo American Platinum, have submitted plans to build a platinum group metal refinery in the southern African country.
“They have made a commitment that they will continue to support Zimbabwe and the setting up of refinery is one of the aspirations,’ said Mines Minister Walter Chidakwa. He was quoted in Zimbabwe’s Sunday Mail which was also cited by Bloomberg News.
“The road is clear now for us to achieve our dream of adding value to our minerals,” Chidakwa said in the article.
