[miningmx.com] – ZIMBABWE’s ruling party, ZANU-PF, criticised Impala Platinum and Aquarius Platinum for proposing to cut 100 jobs at their jointly-held Mimosa operation saying the mine must make its own decision.
In an interview with Bloomberg News, ZANU-PF spokesman, Rugare Gumbo, said: “The Zimbabwean mine must make its own decisions instead of the South Africans coming here and deciding how to cut their costs’.
“We understand that the South African shareholders, as a result of strikes in their country, want to cut their costs by cutting jobs here at Mimosa,’ Gumbo told Bloomberg News.
