[miningmx.com] – THE Constitutional Court will today hand down judgement on an appeal by the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) and Imperial Crown Trading (ICT) regarding claims they have over iron ore prospecting rights.
ICT said it had successfully applied for prospecting rights over a portion of Sishen Iron Ore Company from the DMR after ArcelorMittal SA failed to renew its rights. The High and Supreme courts ruled the rights belonged wholly to Kumba Iron Ore.
