[miningmx.com] – JOSEPH Mathunjwa, president of the Association of Mineworkers & Construction Union (AMCU) said he had asked rival Senzeni Zokwana, leader of the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) to join him in commemorating the anniversary of the Marikana killing.
Mathunjwa told AFP he had contacted Zokwana “… inviting him to be part (of the ceremony), and join me in Marikana… on Friday, to preach peace and demonstrate that workers’ unity is a strength.”
