[miningmx.com] – ESKOM’S pay talks with unions have been referred to the Commission for Conciliation Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) after reaching a deadlock after having a raised offer to 5.6% turned down.
“Eskom has declared a dispute which has been referred to the CCMA after wage talks reached a deadlock, with no movement from the union side,” said spokesperson Hilary Joffe. “Eskom had raised its offer to 5.6%, which is the percentage the National Energy Regulator allowed us in terms of its recent tariff determination,” she said.
