[miningmx.com] – TORONTO-listed IvanPlats, led by mining entrepreneur Robert Friedland, has applied for a mining right application with South Africa’s minerals resources department. IvanPlats plans to build the Platreef project in South Africa’s famed Bushveld Complex.
“Our application for a mining right is a very significant milestone for the Platreef project,’ said Friedland who is executive chairperson of IvanPlats.
He added that an empowerment partner would acquire a 26% stake in the Platreef project through a private firm incorporated in South Africa representing locals, women, children and employees.
