Platfields chose ‘technical share withdrawal’

[miningmx.com] – PLATFIELDS said it chose a ‘technical withdrawal’ of its shares from the JSE because it was in discussions with investors seeking to take control of the company.

Bongani Mbindwane, CEO of Platfields, told Business Report that exploration activities would resume in the last quarter of 2013. He also said there was an a dispute between his company and Anglo Platinum.

The JSE said however the suspension of Platfields was owing to the fact it had not submitted its provisional report on time. “If the company still fails to produce the information after another month, the JSE will suspend,’ the JSE’s general manager of issuer regulation, Andre Visser, told Business Report.
