Gold Fields Q1 output to fall 10%

[miningmx.com] – GOLD Fields said attributable gold production for the March quarter – the first of its financial year – would be just over 10% lower at some 501,000 ounces owing to the interruption of the Christmas break.

However, guidance for the year of 2.2 million ounces at an all in sustaining cost of $1,055 per ounce remained intact, the company said. AISC for the March quarter would be $1,145/oz compared to $1,023/oz in the December quarter.

Gold Fields said it planned to publish its full results for the quarter ended 31 March 2015 on Thursday, 7 May 2015.
