Eskom strives to end load-shedding

[miningmx.com] – ESKOM acting CEO, Brian Molefe, said the power utility was reviewing its maintenance plan in an effort to eliminate load-shedding in the future.
“We are reviewing the manner in which our planned maintenance is done in order to ensure that load shedding is eliminated going forward,’ said Molefe.

Meanwhile, the public enterprises department was reviewing a financing model for Eskom that would replicate the successful turnaround of another state-owned company, Denel, during the Nineties, said BDLive.

Acting director-general of the department Matsietsi Mokholo said in parliament that Denel was “an example of the successful public-private partnership which the Department of Public Enterprises wants to offer the country”.
