[miningmx.com] – THE Bafokeng Land Buyers’ Association is to oppose plans by Royal Bafokeng Platinum (RBPlat), the Bafokeng Nation and Impala Platinum to mine land on property near Rustenberg, said BDLive.
The publication said an application by the parties to mine Klein Doornspruit 108JQ and Rooderkraalspruit farms in Rustenburg was being opposed because it was owned by the Mogono and Maile communities respectively.
The Bafokeng Land Buyers’ Association said it would take the matter to the Constitutional Court if necessary and has asked the Department of Mineral Resources to assist it in its application to block granting of a mining permit to the companies.
