[miningmx.com] – ROGER Baxter, a senior economist at the Chamber of Mines of South Africa, has been appointed the advocacy body’s chief operating officer where he will continue to lead the industry in regulatory matters, said BDLive.
The role of chief operating officer had been left vacant since the death in September last year of Frans Barker, one of the key strategic thinkers in the chamber, said BDLive.
“It’s a privilege to play a role in getting this important industry back on its feet,” Baxter told the online publication.
