[miningmx.com] – SWEEPING changes for the boards of Eskom and Transnet are being mooted by government, according to BDLive which said former SABC chairman, Ben Ngubane, may replace Zola Tsotsi as chairman of Eskom.
Citing people in the ANC, BDLive said however there was opposition to Ngubane’s nomination within the party and that it may not go ahead. Ngubane told BDLive he had signed nomination forms for the power utility.
President Jacob Zuma, who has been strongly involved in appointments to state-owned company boards, is believed to be behind the push to have Ngubane appointed. Ngubane oversaw a disastrous period as chairman of SABC.
