
[miningmx.com] – KHULUBUSE Zuma and Zondwa Mandela will have to pay up after mismanaging the Pamodzi Gold Mine which they bought as Aurora Empowerment Systems in 2009, said Eyewitness News citing a High Court judgement.
All directors in Aurora would have to pay millions of rands in their personal capacity, the publication said. The Judge said there is no doubt that the directors are guilty of willful misrepresentation.
Zuma, the nephew of President Jacob Zuma, was not part of the bid process to take over the mine, but he is nonetheless liable for reckless managing of the mine from 2009 – a decision union Solidarity hailed as a victory for workers.
