[miningmx.com] – CANADA’S minister of aboriginal affairs and northern development approved the developed of the Gahcho Kue diamond mine in the country’s Northwest Territories.
Gahcho Kue is a project in which Anglo American’s De Beers’ has a 51% stake while Mountain Province owns the balance. The project is located 280km north of Yellowknife, the capital of Northwest Territories.
“Gahcho Kue remains one of the best undeveloped diamond projects worldwide,’ Edward Sterck, an analyst for Bank of Montreal was quoted by Bloomberg News to have said.
