[miningmx.com] – AQUARIUS Platinum would launch fresh wage negotiations with the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) later this year, said Jean Nel, CEO of the platinum firm that last year concluded an untroubled deal with the union.
“Our labour relations at all our operations were stable through the period and stable during the turbulent times we’re experience at the moment,” BDLive quoted Nel to have said.
Aquarius agreed a wage deal in February 2013 with the NUM at a level slightly above the rate of inflation which at the time was about 5.2%.
