
[miningmx.com] – ESKOM will operate on half the reserve margin considered adequate until April while it conducts maintenance, but this would not result in load-shedding, said BDLive citing the utility’s spokesman, Andrew Etzinger.
“A reserve of 1,000MW does make us vulnerable, but we have been operating at that level for a number of years now, so that is not new,” said Etzinger.
“We would certainly let the public know if there was any load-shedding on the cards, which there is not,” he said.
