Computer glitch interrupts copper deliveries from DRC

A COMPUTER glitch interrupted copper and cobalt deliveries from the Democratic Republic of Congo by up to nine days, said Reuters citing an official.

Eric Monga, president of the Chamber of Commerce for the Katanga copper region, told Reuters by phone the computer problem had now been fixed.

It was not immediately clear how much material had been affected and some sources said there had already been issues with delays, said Reuters. Two sources speaking on condition of anonymity said delays were now between six and nine days.
