Implats headline earnings up to 20% lower

[miningmx.com] – IMPALA Platinum (Implats) said interim headline earnings per share would be between 10% and 20% lower year-on-year largely due to a 15% decline in rand metal prices.

Headline share earnings would be between 50 and 59 cents while basic earnings per share would be between 29 and 35 cents, a decline of between 30% and 15%.

The difference between headline earnings and basic earnings is the write-down of 12 shaft, which was closed in December, the company said. Implats is due to report its interim figures on February 25.
