[miningmx.com] – THE National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) said it did not agree to restructuring at Sibanye Gold’s Beatrix West section in the Free State province, a development that would affect about 1,000 jobs.
NUM spokesperson, Lesiba Seshoka, said NUM had only agreed to voluntary retrenchments at the mine, not job losses.
“NUM is disappointed with the distortion of facts by the company,” he said.
