[miningmx.com] – ANGLOGOLD Ashanti’s Tropicana project in Australia would begin producing first gold in the third quarter ahead of scheduled start-up, the gold company said in an announcement.
The project, originally forecast to begin production in the fourth quarter, will cost up to $845m and average annual production in the first three years is expected to be between 470 000 and 490 000 ounces, it said.
